It looks like someone cut the windows flag out with a blunt knife rather than press cut! Product key is also blocked due to piracy.

Noticed that other buyers have had same problem. Error message "The product key entered does not match any of the Windows images available for installation. Enter a different product key. This allowed me to successfully enter the supplied product key.
I have since wiped the system and reinstalled using a freshly made USB installation stick. The process was quicker the USB stick being more up to date but the result was the same, an Education version. I don't know if the install hiccup is a product problem or a typical Microsoft annoyance, but it seems to be surmountable without having to phone Microsoft.
